I will be happy to provide a brief phone consultation at no charge to see if I am the best fit for you, and to answer any questions about my services. At that time, we can set up a formal initial consultation session. During this session, we will review your reasons for seeking treatment, I will conduct a thorough assessment of your history, and there will be an opportunity for you to ask any questions about therapy. I will provide you with my initial diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations.

Most clients meet weekly for 45 minutes. However, therapy can be adapted to meet each individual’s needs. At the initial consultation session, we will discuss goals for treatment and collaboratively set a plan.

I provide evidenced based therapy which is designed to be short term and goal-focused. Cognitive behavioral treatment typically lasts between three and six months. The actual length of treatment will vary for each client. We will discuss expected length of treatment at the initial consultation session.

I am not on any insurance panels. However, I am an out of network provider. This means that I will provide you with a billing invoice with all the information needed to submit to your insurance company

Please call your insurance company and inquire about out of network mental health benefits. Insurance reimbursement rates vary widely based on the specific plan. You can find out about your specific reimbursement rate by asking your insurance company the percentage that they reimburse for a weekly therapy session with a licensed psychologist (most common CPT code 90834), using the zip code 10502. Your insurance company can also inform you of your deductible, if there is any preauthorization required, and if there is a limit to the annual number of sessions.

I accept payment in the form of cash or check at the time of each session.
